Course Objectives
1. Discuss key theoretical themes of the current form of the Bobath Concept.
2. Define Tone Influencing Patterns (TIPs) and its relationship to the following aims of treatment in Bobath:
a. improve active participation by the child
b. improve quality and efficiency of movement
3. Discuss facilitation of more normal movement for increased participation in activities of daily living such as
a. mobility (rolling, ambulation)
b. playing (in sitting, standing)
4. Demonstrate handling at may be applied to goals of improving participation in play, mobility, self care, feeding, and communication
