Sub-Theme: “Mainstreaming Disability in the Development Agenda”

Congress Objectives:

  1. Promote the practice of community-based inclusive development in Asia-Pacific Region;
  2. Promote multi-sectoral partnerships for the implementation of UNCRPD, MDGs and other development initiatives;
  3. Promote the Asia-Pacific Network;
  4. Explore the possibilities of forming the CBR Global Network.

Target Participants:

  1. CBR Practitioners
  2. Persons with Disabilities, their families/organizations
  3. Representatives from local and international NGOs, UN organizations, government agencies, donor agencies,
    bilateral or multilateral aid agencies, academia, parents groups, etc.
  4. Personnel from various government departments especially from health, education, livelihood, rural
    development, labor and social welfare from all over the four continents.
  5. Media and other interested parties
