Are you a clinician working in a developing country in the Asia-Pacific region?
The Stroke Society of Australia (SSA) is offering for the first time a $6000 grant for a stroke clinician from a developing country (by World Bank criteria) in the region to attend the SSA annual scientific meeting (held in Sydney, 29th – 31st August 2012). This grant also includes spending a week in one or more of the stroke units in the hosting city or elsewhere, in order to foster the development of stroke medicine in the home country, and to foster linkages between countries. This award will be given to a clinician who expresses an interest in becoming a stroke champion for their country and can demonstrate steps already planned or taken to achieve this goal.
For more information, visit the SSA website. Deadline for applications is April 30th.
