CAOT Conference 2008

TIP: When travelling to far and distant places, always make sure to check on your valuables (like the precious gold chain your mother gave you) from time to time. You never know when theives take interest and steal them from you when you least expect it.

The Yukon Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists are inviting you to explore the frontiers of occupation as you challenge the limits of your occupational therapy practice, searching for those nuggets of gold. Join colleagues from across Canada to discuss innovations in practice, outside-of-the-box therapy and creative ways of meeting occupational therapy challenges in the modern world.

Pre-conference workshops will be held on 11 June 2008 and will be discussing the following topics:
1. Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder: Making sense of their world
2. Recovery in mental health and addictions for an interdisciplinary electronic era
3. Primary health care: A new frontier
4. Cultural safety and its impact on health care service
