“Y2K” (Year 2 Kids with Down Syndrome) Seminar
The Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines Inc. (DSAPI) would like to invite everyone to a seminar titled “Y2K” (Year 2 Kids with Down Syndrome). Here is a letter from their operations manager (who is also directly in charge of all their cpm affairs) regarding this event.
Dear DSAPI Members,
Our Association will conduct another sequel seminar for parents of children with Down Syndrome whose child’s age ranges from 2-5 years old. The seminar aims to address the changing needs of children with Down Syndrome within said age group, noting that their requirements have changed from when they were still 1 to 24 months old.
This seminar dubbed “Y2K” (Year 2 Kids with Down Syndrome) set on July 20, 2008 (Sunday) from 8:00am – 5:00pm at the Guadalupe Viejo Barangay Hall with address at Gumamela Street, Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City (near Rockwell), will feature doctors, psychologist, therapists, educator, and other resource persons who will enlighten us on relevant topics affecting children with Down Syndrome. This seminar is for “FREE” but the meal for lunch will be at cost for P50.00 per head. And to ensure focus and concentration, we encourage parents not to bring the kids anymore. Since this will be a whole day seminar, I’m sure the kids will just get bored and restless and we don’t have a separate room for kids’ play area.
