Due to postal disruption, additional ‘grace period’ for renewal applications
Due to the exceptional circumstances the postal disruption may cause to those renewing their registration, the Health Professions Council is allowing an additional ‘grace period’ for renewal applications to be received from occupational therapists and biomedical scientists.
Registrants are now being given until the dates listed below to renew their registration for the 2007/9 registration cycle:
Occupational therapists (OT) – 30 November 2007
Biomedical scientists (BS) – 17 December 2007
Registrants are ‘lapsed’ if we do not receive their completed renewal form and payment by the relevant cut-off (lapsing) date. This means that their name will no longer appear on the HPC Register and they will need to complete a readmission form to come back onto it. Registrants who submit their forms within one month of being lapsed will not have to incur a re-admission fee and will only have to pay their renewal fee (covering their two-year cycle). Registrants who submit their forms after one month will be required to pay the re-admission fee of £110 in addition to their standard renewal fee.
